Love Summer Veggies

K is turning into quite the chef. He loves to cut up all of his veggies, put them in a pot, and then stir them all up.

At first this was a two person job as we would have to hold the veggie but he is becoming more independent and wants to do this all by himself now.

During the summer our house is filled to the brim with all of the goodness form the garden. A few years ago we tried to have a small garden of our own but after a not so successful attempt we decided we don't have room for one and we are gone just enough that we can't be consistent on the watering requirement. No matter what the excuse we know that our garden never produced the quality of what we receive from our parents and grandparents gardens. We know that we don't tell them enough but we are certainly appreciative of all of their efforts and can't imagine a summer going by without the veggies.

Poooool!

We set a new record for the number of days above 100 degrees this summer so many hours were spent outside in the pool. Some mornings Kellen would wake up and the first word out of his mouth was pool, othertimes he would wait about five minutes but we knew it was coming. Pool, pool, pool, pool and on and on it went until we would eventually wear down and take him outside to the pool.

He loved every minute of it and by the end of the summer he was a pro at swiming and the slides.

4th of July

We know we are so behind on this little blog, but thankfully life has been keeping us busy, and we now have lots of things to update on!!  So here we go on a series of posts to catch up.  First on the list is July 4th, we had a great one just enjoying family time together.

Now that Kellen is getting older I can't wait to make lots of cute food stuff.
I think he enjoyed this one especially the blueberries!
